Wooden Flat Bars

Wooden corner profiles are solid timber angle mouldings that cover a 90 degree corner. Depending on the job people call them wooden corner trim, pine corner trim, angle beading, corner moulding or wooden corner protectors, they all describe the same L-shaped profile. Fitted over an external corner the profile acts as an edge protector and hides the exposed edge. Set into an internal corner it masks the joint between two surfaces for a clean finish.

Ours are natural pine, sanded smooth and ready to paint, stain, varnish or oil to match the room. Because it is real timber, the finish blends into good joinery in a way plastic cannot.

Sizes and finishes

The range covers equal angles from 20x20mm up to 60x60mm, plus unequal profiles at 50x20mm and 70x30mm for wider edges. Every size comes in 1 metre and 2.4 metre lengths, so you can keep joins to a minimum on longer runs. The 50mm pine angle is the most popular size for wall and panel corners.

As natural timber, pine profiles are best suited to dry interior spaces, or fully sealed and painted before they go anywhere humid.

Wood is the right pick for dry rooms and decorative work where the finish matters. How to fit and finish

Cut to length with a fine-tooth saw, mitre the ends at 45 degrees where lengths meet at a corner, then fix with panel pins, screws or a strong grab adhesive. Fill any pin holes and paint or stain to finish. For the full range in a single size and length, see the pine wood corner angle trim.

What size do I need?

Match the profile to the edge you are covering. 20mm to 40mm suits most trim and panel work, 50mm and 60mm cover larger or more visible corners.

Can wooden corner trim be used outside?

Pine is best kept to interiors. It can be used externally only if it is fully sealed and painted, otherwise it will absorb moisture and move.
